Eclipse Logbook is Returning Soon.
Due to the fact our training videos no longer run (they were produced in Adobe Flash, which was retired by Adobe on January 1, 2021), combined with the fact that support for paper logs have dwindled over 98% since the ELD mandate, we are no longer selling Eclipse Logbook.
For Existing Customers:
We have kept Eclipse Logbook going in honor of the drivers that continue to use the product even after the advent of ELDs. However, there is just a trickle of revenue from the product and we’ve been supporting the product mostly with volunteer labor as the employees that used to work on Logbook have moved to other companies. Here are our current plans for “keeping the lights on”:
- We will continue to run the servers so you have access to the software for reinstalling if needed, as well as any custom log forms or signatures you have purchased.
- We will try to provide one more update to fix a couple of lingering issues.
- Support is being provided by volunteers as they are able. Support isn’t guaranteed nor are turnaround times.
- We are in discussions with a company that may want to partner with Eclipse Logbook, but it will take several months to see if this feasible. If we are able to partner, your subscription will continue. If it is not, we will issue a final “free forever” release of Eclipse Logbook for active existing users.
- If you have questions or need support, please email sales@logbook.com
Thank you for support over the years. Please understand the above information reflects our current plans, but we cannot guarantee anything. All plans are subject to change without notice. If you have purchased Eclipse Logbook in the last 30 days and would like a refund, please let us know.
