Logbook.com is a web site ("Site") from Eclipse Technical, Inc. ("Eclipse"). Eclipse is based in, and the Site is operated from the United States.

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not access or use this site.

Privacy Statement

Eclipse is committed to respecting and protecting your online privacy. This privacy statement explains data collection and use practices of the Site.

Collection of your Personal Information

We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you ("Personal Information") or allows us to contact you to provide a service or carry out a transaction that you have requested such as receiving information about Eclipse products and services, entering a contest, ordering e-mail newsletters, joining a limited-access premium site or service, or when purchasing, downloading registering and/or using Eclipse products. The personal information we collect may include your name, title, company or organization name, e-mail, phone, work or home addresses, information about your job function, information about your company, information about our interactions and communications with you and credit card information.

Eclipse may send out periodic e-mails informing you of technical service or security issues related to a product or service you requested, or confirming you requested a product or service.

In some services offered by Eclipse, contact with the customer is an intrinsic part of the service. You will not be able to choose to unsubscribe to these mailings, as they are considered an essential part of the service(s) you have chosen.

Except as otherwise described in this statement, personal information you provide on the Site will not be shared outside of Eclipse. Your personal information will not be leased, sold, rented or otherwise made available to any other third party except to the extent necessary to comply with applicable laws, police investigations, or in legal proceedings where such information is relevant.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, you hereby agree that Eclipse may assign, sell, license, or otherwise transfer to a third party, your name, address, email address, member name and any other personal information in connection with an assignment, sale, joint venture, or other transfer or disposition of a material portion or essentially all of the assets or stock of Eclipse.

Security of your Personal Information

Eclipse is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. Wherever your Personal Information may be held by Eclipse or by a third party on Eclipse's behalf, reasonable and appropriate precautions, such as encryption, firewalls and like technologies, are and will be implemented to protect such Personal Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure.

Additionally, when we transmit sensitive personal information (such as a credit card number) over the Internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

Use of Cookies

When you visit the Site, you may surf the site anonymously and access certain information without revealing your identity. In order to analyze and improve the Site, we may use "cookies" to track your visit to the Site. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Storage of Logbook Data

This Site may interact with your Eclipse Logbook program in order to make and restore Backups of your data files, to synchronize Carrier name and address information, and to synchronize your digital signature with your copy of the software.

If you share a laptop or computer with other users, the data files are stored in a combined file so your data will be visible to those drivers. If you do not wish to have your data visible to other drivers please do not share a laptop with them.

Changes to this Statement

We may occasionally update this privacy policy statement. When we do, we will also revise the "Effective Date" date at the top of the privacy statement. We encourage you to review this privacy statement every thirty (30) days to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. Your continued use of the service constitutes your agreement to this privacy statement and any updates.
