Can a DOT officer write on your current log page then seperate the top half and keep it?

Hello, I am sure that he does have the right to keep whatever he needs as evidence. Although I am not 100% sure on this, I would recommend talking to DOT, FMCSA, or your safety director. Hope this helps, Have a great day.
